語言講評者(Grammarian)的職掌
Most of people come to toastmasters club for learning English, even native speakers need to learn to speak more beautifully and accurately. For example, which words should one choose and how to organize a speech!
1. Point out grammatical error. It is almost unavoidable that from time to time
we Chinese make mistakes!
2. Point out the words used improperly. Chinese sometimes translate directly
from Chinese to English. It is so called ‘ Chinese English’. Give the correct
answers! Show audience how to use correct English and tell the audience
why--show the differences.
3. Point out wrong pronunciation. Sometimes toastmasters pronounce wrong!
Intonation is also important. How can one speak clearly and fluently?
4. Point out some good sentences speakers used in the meeting, so that all the
toastmasters can learn from them.
Language evaluator is like other evaluators (individual evaluators or general
evaluators). The secret is while pointing out weakness, don't forget to give
some praises!

擔任語言講評可是訓練傾聽技巧的好機會。你有兩個基本任務;第一,佳句介紹;第二,評論會議中的遣詞用句。
會議前
1.如果貴會有“每日一字(句)”的慣例,可由你來負責介紹,藉此可以幫助會友增進字彙運用能力。選擇一個可與會友日常生活輕易結合卻又有別於一般的表達方式。一般經常讀錯、用錯的字詞也可以用來做題材。
2.要把介紹的字詞寫得大大的,讓全場的人都看得到。簡短說明定義、發音、典故、用法等。用例句實際說明用法。
3.為來賓作語言講評人任務的簡要說明。
到達會場時
1.將視訊資料放在會場的前方,讓大家都看得到。
2.準備紙筆以便記錄。如果貴會備有語言講評表,可向事務長索取。
會議中
1.在即席問答單元之前被邀上台時,介紹“每日一詞”,說明定義、用法等。要求每位發言者在講話中都要用到這個字。
2.簡單說明語言講評人角色。
3.全神貫注每位講者的用字遣詞,把不對的、不順的(例如句子不完整、前後不連貫、文法不正確、用詞不妥當等等)都記下來,是誰講的也記下來。記錄大家使用“每日一詞”用法的對、錯以及誰使用了該詞。在講評時間應總講評人邀請提出報告時,就在原位上站起來報告即可。試著為每一個錯誤提出正確用法,不要只指出錯處。提出別出心裁的佳言美句,並公佈正確或錯誤使用“每日一詞”的人。
會議後
